Forget about BSNL 270GB offer and others Almost daily, we keep hearing about this offer or that, giving mobile users more data at lesser cost.
The latest offers come from BSNL. May be tomorrow, they will come do louis vuitton bags have zippers inside from Idea. Next day, Telenor will provide something. And then there will be an offer from MTNL. The reality, despite the seemingly tempting offers, is that finally for most consumers the choice is simple: It is Jio vs Airtel for most. The reasons are simple, but before that let's take a look at why there is all this hullabaloo about the latest BSNL plans. There are three plans are making the buzz. Rs 333 Triple Ace plan: This plan, as the name suggests, costs Rs 333 for 90 days. And it gives users 3GB 3G data per day. This means users get 270GB data, spread over 90 days, at 3G speed. This surely looks very tempting. But it actually is not (more on this later). Also keep in mind that in this plan, only the 270GB data is covered. For calls and messages, you will pay extra. This means in 90 days you will get louis vuitton purses for sale on ebay 180GB data at a price of Rs 349, along with unlimited calls within BSNL's own network. Rs 395 Nehle Pe Dahla plan: This is the costliest plan from BSNL among the three mentioned here. But it is also the one with shortest validity period. This plan comes with the validity period of 71 days and it gives users 3000 minutes free STD and local calls within the BSNL network. Along with this users also gets similar calling benefits for 1800 minutes for BSNL to other numbers. Finally, there is the data provision that gives users 2GB data per day for 71 days, so essentially 142GB data at 3G speeds. After the limit is exhausted, the data services will continue but at the speed of 80kbps. This coverage, coupled with somewhat better reliability, makes Jio and Airtel the most formidable operators in India. And the competition is between them right now. Tempting plans on paper Now, these are fairly tempting plans. But only on paper. And what applies on BSNL also applies on MTNL. And up to an extent the same applies on Idea, at least until its merger with Vodafone happens. And so on and so forth. Wireless data of 270GB at Rs 333 is an amazing offer. The problem, however, is that such plans are rarely usable. First of all, there are terms and conditions. For example, free calls are louis vuitton monogram rayures neverfull xl m40562 not always available, making the BSNL offers pricey. But a bigger issue is that even with 3G speeds, which are between 3mbps to 7mbps in best case scenario and less than 1mbps on average as soon as you are out and about, it is nearly impossible to consume 3GB data in a day. In fact, even with good networks, it is nearly impossible to consume 3GB data in a day. Also Read: Airtel adds 3 million mobile subscribers in March: Report But add to that the fact that BSNL doesn't have a good network for high speed data and you realise how this Rs 333 plan is such a gimmick. In most of the areas where BSNL reaches, the company even struggles offer good 2G speeds. It has probably the widest reach among all India operators, in terms of calls and 2G. But that is not true for its 3G network. This makes the BSNL offer almost useless. Same things can be said about the network run by MTNL or for that matter a number of other telecom operators. The two exception of this are Airtel and the Jio. They too have some flaws, but overall these two networks offer the best coverage area when it comes to high speed data network. The Jio is all 4G. The Airtel network is all about 4G plus fairly reliable and fast louis vuitton vip bracelet 3G. This coverage, coupled with somewhat better reliability, makes Jio and Airtel the most formidable operators in India. And the competition is between them right now. Vodafone too is near in many pockets (big cities) them but I feel it will be able to directly take these two only when it merges with Idea.
But for now the only good high speed data offers that matter belong to Jio and Airtel. So keep an eye on what these companies are doing. The rest are just creating some noise with data plans, which may benefit a handful of users, but are mostly useless.
